Sascha’s first symptom was a rash in Dec of 2008. Her pediatrician first thought it was a wind burn. We then went to a pediatric derm who flirted with the idea of it being Lupus. Our second Pediatric derm introduced us to the cousin JDM. Three months later, we are in Chicago with another apt in Dallas the following week. What a ride.
We are literally witnessing every day the progression of this disease. Our hearts are filled with pain, but Sascha is such a trooper. She loves to sing and dance. She has a mean dance and vocal routine to Single Ladies by Beyonce and Mississippi Queen by Mountain . She is wise beyond her years with the wit of the best comedians. She leaves a lasting impression on everyone who meets her. She has an older sister Jazmine (12yrs) and a younger brother Diego, "Go Go" (2yrs). Her only pet is a 95lb great dane, Savvy Valentina. She believes she is a princess and no one will argue.
