Morgan is a 9 year old little girl that has been sick for 5 years. Morgan was first diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy and then Juvenile Dermatomyositis. Through the last five years Morgan has taken prednisone, hydroxychoroquin, cellcept, methotrexate, IVIG, solumedrol. Morgan has recently become extremely weak and is now in a "flare" We have started the methotrexate and prednisone. This week we will begin IVIG and Solumedrol again and in 6 weeks if she is stable she will go on Rituxan. Morgan is a very sweet and loving child that enjoys every day life. She loves to play with her cat Oscar. She also loves to have sleepovers with her friends. Morgan loves to shop and is always willing to go to mamaw and papaw's house. Her favorite thing to do at home is play in the woods by the creek. We hope that one day Morgan will kick this illness for good.
