Hi My name is Kaylee, I live in Texas and I am 7 years old. My rash started when we were on a weekend trip to the San Diego Zoo to celebrate my 5th Birthday. Everyone thought the rash would go away but it didn't. I saw a Pediatric Dermatologist and exactly 1 month from the day my rash started I found out I had Juvenile Dermatomyositis. I wear a hat and sunscreen everyday and I have to explain to the kids at school why I do that. My school nurse helps me with my medications and my teacher makes sure I take them on time. My mom helps me look on the computer to find other kids like me who have a rash. I like to play soccer, t-ball and rollerblade when I'm not too tired. I also like to play with my big sister, cousin, and my kitten. My favorite thing to do is fly in airplanes and visit places I've never been. My family and I pray everyday for a cure to JM.
