My name is Julia. I was diagnosed with JDM in October 2004, when I was 3 years old. At first it was very hard for me to walk and play and climb into my car seat. After I started taking medicine I could do all of the things I used to. I even take gymnastics now, like I did before. I like doing the bars and the trampoline. I have fun doing dinosaur puzzles with my younger brother, Mitch, and I really like Disney Princesses (Belle is my favorite). I don’t always like taking my medicine (although it doesn’t taste as bad as it used to because my mom puts it in orange juice), but I know it helps me to get better. I want to be a football cheerleader someday.
