Josie

Josie

My name is Josie. I was diagnosed on March 31, 2014 at the age of 6. I was not able to do many things. It started with my legs feeling like they could not hold up my body. I was falling down at school and my arms began to hurt. When I was diagnosed I could not take care of myself like brushing my own hair, taking a shower, getting out of bed or climbing even one step. My doctors at Children's Hospital of WI-Milwaukee took very good care of me. After a week in the hospital of blood tests, EMG and muscle biopsy, I went home. I have been taking prednisone daily and once a week injection of methotrexate. I am doing very well now almost a year later and can even carry my twin brother around the house! Thank you Cure JM for everything you are doing for us kids. You are our heroes!
