Aloha. My name is Jamie and I was diagnosed with juvenile dermatomyositis through a muscle biopsy at 7 months old in January 2004 after I became very weak. I'm now 3 and am very strong, strong-willed, energetic, and talkative. I've been tube fed since I was diagnosed (due to oral sensitivity used as a defense mechanism) but am doing much better at eating like a big girl. I'm looking forward to starting school this year and being like my big sister Ashley who takes great care of me. I'm fascinated with medical programs and doctors.
