My name is Gwendolyn. I am 9 years old and I was diagnosed with JDM in April of 2010 and I have had this disease a lot longer than when I was diagnosed. I know this disease has no cure and there is no reason as to why I have it. I recently went to Chicago and I met Dr. Pachman and her staff. Everyone there was great and hopefully with their help, I will one day go into remission. There is no reason why any child should have to deal with this disease.
