Hi my name is Carly. I am 4 years old and I was diagnosed with JDM on March 18, 2011. I have to take several different medicines, oral prednisone, weekly IV steroids and weekly Methotrexate shots...not a fan! I also, have to take an antacid, folic acid and calcium. Wow that sure is alot for a 4 year old isn't it. I also start bi-weekly IVIG treatments beginning this week. I know all of this is going to make me feel so much better. I already feel alot better than I did at the beginning of this year. I wasn't able to climb stairs or climb into my mom's Tahoe. It was also hard for me to climb out of the bed. All of that has improved since I've been taking my medicine. My mommy and daddy are going to get me and my sissy a puppy soon. I can't wait. I want to name him Ringo. Oh yeah I have a big sister named Kelsie and she is 10. We get on each others nerves sometimes, but we really do love each other alot. My sissy loves to give me hugs and kisses, when I let her.
