Alan Metni, JD


Alan graduated from the University of Texas School of Law and the LBJ School of Public Affairs in 1992. Three years later he left the practice of law to pursue his passion, skydiving. After competing in and winning at the highest levels of the sport, he invented the technologies that make modern Indoor Skydiving possible. He founded iFLY in 1999 and grew it from one employee to over 1000 operating 77 facilities in 16 countries. The Austin-based company designs, manufactures, operates, franchises, sells and exports vertical wind tunnels globally. Alan holds 103 issued and 56 pending patents.

Alan and his wife Meryl have four daughters ages 19, 17, 15 and 7.
